Elan's model is simple and streamlined with the advantage of being supported by the full suite of Elan added value services. These services can be used by our clients on an ad hoc basis or integrated into the service levels we agree with them. Elan's added value services include:
 
 
 
Online training and mentoring: We offer all contractors and recently placed permanent candidates access to over 3,000 SkillSoft courses free of charge. As part of the SkillSoft service there is an online mentoring facility, as learning at a distance can sometimes be a solitary experience. It is often difficult to stay focused on learning and to achieve goals in a timely way. SkillSoft's mentors understand these issues and are there to provide personalised assistance and training support. They are online around the clock, every day of the year and offer their expertise in many ways.  This includes:
  • Regular email correspondence including course-related questions, tips and scenarios to solve.  SkillSoft guarantee a maximum response time of six hours.
  • Online labs for additional practice/ new information about course topics, certifications, exams etc.
  • Course support chats/ fast track assessments and test preps
  • Threaded course discussions/ web resources including technical articles
  • Elan would be happy to work with our clients to develop a training programme as part of the induction process for all newly appointed staff.
 
Technology: Elan has implemented fully managed services to clients using Hyphen (Thales), Intronet (IBM), Field Glass (GSK) and our own web-based recruitment management system, UltraSource02. We are keen to work with our clients to identify the system that is best suited to their requirements, should they wish to implement such a solution.
 
Rate/ salary management: Benchmarking rates/ salaries against industry averages, enabling our clients to align their salaries to the market accordingly.  
 
Customised Data Capture: We understand the importance of providing our clients specific data, in their terms, for payment and analysis; and Elan has the systems infrastructure to support this requirement. We will capture the data required for invoicing and financial reporting, to include all of their required fields. For example:
  • Reporting location
  • Charge location
  • Director name
  • Work order #
  • Control # for invoice
  • Purchase order #
 
Legal team's monthly updates: Elan's in-house Legal team creates monthly fact sheets for Elan and our clients concerning new and pending legislation. We also conduct presentations and facilitate seminars to hiring managers on current and pending legislation.
 
We strive to be not only a recruitment partner but also a knowledge hub for our clients, and believe our expertise maintains that Elan and all partnering companies are up to date with latest legislation and market trends. We are also able to offer face to face meetings with our legal counsel as part of our service delivery.
 
Technical testing: The Elan Account Team can conduct technical testing on behalf of our clients. Test results will provide Elan and our client with detailed information on candidate strengths and weaknesses, and can be accessed via online skill portfolios. Additionally we have the option of candidates taking one of the 155 TeckChek tests that can be performed online or in a controlled environment. Technical testing further increases the Elan team's ability to identify the right candidates.
 
Market intelligence:  As a preferred supplier  we would be able to provide our clients with copies of our monthly IT recruitment market reports and our quarterly financial sector reports. These reports ensure that you have the market knowledge to enable you to assess whether they are receiving value for money. We are also able to provide you with copies of the Manpower Quarterly Survey of Employment Prospects, a highly valued report which is also published in the Times newspaper. This is again a free of charge service and part of our commitment to provide added value.
 
Onboarding/ induction days: The Elan Account team can work consultatively with our clients to create handbooks for new starters. We will be responsible for issuing company handbooks and fully brief starters about life at the client site. Candidates will start their assignments with a sound understanding of their culture, company strategy, technology, company policies, processes and general working practice allowing for a seamless transition into their work environment.
 
Job profiling: Accurate job profiling is a key way to maintain staff morale and improve staff retention by ensuring our client has an integrated approach. Systematic job analysis is applied to ensure that competencies are accurately defined and reflect their organisation's long-term and short-term objectives.
 
Extension of service: Elan is uniquely positioned to provide our clients with access to a much wider group of services and organisations through the Manpower Group.
